Join expert park naturalists and avid birders on a peaceful paddle and observe Osprey families on their nests, a peregrine falcon tower, tons of shorebirds and a sandbar teeming with hungry birds. Along the way, you'll also learn more about the area, bird migration, bird identification and more!
PROGRAM DETAILS - PLEASE READ!
Must be 14 years or older, minors (14-17) must be accompanied by an adult.
All equipment is provided. Kayaks are open-top tandem (2-person0 ocean kayaks. You are welcome to bring your own kayak, but please give us advanced notice.
No kayaking experience is necessary.
Participants must be in good health and physical condition. Kayaking can be strenuous and difficult at times, depending on conditions.
Programs will run rain or shine, however high winds and/or thunderstorms will cancel the program. There will be NO REFUNDS unless the Park cancels the program. No exceptions.
Meet at parking lot A21, approximately 8 miles south of the park entrance. Parking is limited so please arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the program. Additional parking is located in lot A20.
WHAT TO BRING
Water, sunscreen, bug spray. A snack, towel and change of clothes is optional.
A liability form must be signed prior to your trip and will be provided upon arrival.
