HISTORY HIKE #1
THE REED’S ROAD TRAIL
The Reed’s Road Trail offers both the human and natural history. Explore the maritime forest and a coastal thicket heading toward Barnegat Bay. The trail passes the site of the historic Reed Hotel which hosted artists, fishermen and sportsmen in the late 1800s.
**Important Details**
The hike is a 0.4 mile, on an easy to moderate, flat and sandy trail.
Parking and trailhead are a 1/2 mile south of the park entrance, on the bayside.
Please bring sunscreen, bug spray, water and a snack.
Hikes will run rain or shine. There will be NO REFUNDS unless the Park cancels the event. No exceptions.
