As part of Americorp’s “Projects in the Park” initiative, IBSP and our local Source Water Protection Ambassador are partnering to offer a rain barrel workshop!
Rain barrels are an important tool for preventing run-off from entering our storm drains, which transport non-point source pollutants to our rivers and streams. At the workshop, participants will be given a presentation on how rain barrels help to protect water quality and minimize flooding. For a fee of $25, participants will also receive their own barrel with training on how to construct and install this rain collection system.
Barrels are predrilled, precut and all hardware is provided. They are approximately 34” high, 25” wide and can be placed laying down in the backseat of most cars for transport.
Space is limited so register today!
